Some news is good news.

Well, it’s been a little while since the last post. And I don’t really have anything to say. But that’s the beauty of blogging! I don’t have to!

What do you have to say to that, world?

I didn’t think so.

Two minor things of note:

That job that I was talking about that was going way past its due date is now all done. It was dropped off for printing mid-week and delivered on Friday. Yay! Add to this the fact that the new issue of Artichoke is nearly finished production (minus last minute ads), and it means that all of the things that I needed to get done before the baby arrives are all set.

Which brings me to number two:

Baby’s not yet arrived. But you knew that. ‘Cause I’d not yet said.

You’re smart that way.

Balance has been restored to the universe

Last week saw the last appearance of Jerry Orbach on Law & Order. He’s been on for a very long time. His leaving made us sad. And we’ve been thinking that maybe we won’t keep watching it the fall if there’s to be no Lennie.

But tonight I learned who his replacement will be. Dennis Farina will be joining the cast for the new season.

Of course, I also learned that Orbach will be playing Lennie some more on Law & Order: Trial by Jury, a fourth venture into all things Law & Order. So in addition to Farina, we’ll still get us some Lennie every week.

D’ya think I watch too much television?

Bertie Bott’s Every Flavoured Beans

Last night Sarah and I were planning on watching a James Bond film on DVD. And we needed some munchies. So we headed over to our local munchie purveyors.

The munchie I got was a small bag of Jelly Belly assorted jelly beans. I’ve not ever had these before, and I have to say that they’re tremendous. With one exception.

One of the flavours is coconut. It’s white. Poor Sarah had to listen to me complain about the coconut ones: “They taste like feet!”

But I was wrong. In a dark room it’s hard to tell the white coconut from the slightly off-white buttered popcorn(?!?). If you’re expecting coconut, this other is really quite a surprise. Knowing this now, the popcorn one is quite strange but kind of tasty. Not like feet.

Not like feet at all.
